Adult Gerontology – Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Adult Gerontology – Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)

Acute care nurse practitioners (NPs) care for patients struggling with acute, chronic, or critical conditions, while primary care NPs care for the daily health of their patients as well as the illnesses they contract. Our Adult Gerontology – Acute Care NP specialty prepares associate- and bachelor’s-credentialed nurses to provide advanced care to adults facing serious threats to their health. As our population continues to age, including more than 77 million baby boomers by 2034, demand for AGACNPs will continue to rise.*

AGACNPs can also play a critical role in serving on the front lines during an epidemic or pandemic helping to diagnose and treat threatening medical conditions. Currently, nurses are in short supply and high demand, and Regis is more committed than ever to help fill that void.
