Online MSA Curriculum

The online Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program at Regis College offers a focused, rigorous and rewarding curriculum, with coursework that allows you to develop or deepen your understanding of important business concepts through industry-wide best practices that are based upon real-world application.

Two Distinctive Tracks

MSA curriculum for students without prior coursework in business, finance or accounting:

Bridge Track — Total: 42 credit hours (12/Bridge +30/Core)

Students in our Bridge Track must complete the following schedule prior to advancing into upper-level coursework.

Courses include:

MT 510Financial Accounting

(Accounting I, Introduction to Accounting or any comparable course titles may be eligible for waiver)

MT 515Managerial Accounting

(Accounting II or Cost Accounting or any comparable course titles may be eligible for waiver)

MT 520Financial Decision-Making

(Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, Intermediate Finance or any comparable course titles may be eligible for waiver)

MT 540Financial Statement Analysis

(Financial Strategy, Financial Analysis or any comparable course titles may be eligible for waiver)

* Note: Each individual course is valued at 3 credit hours, each with an 8-week duration.

MSA curriculum for students with prior coursework in business, finance or accounting:

Core Track — Total: 30 credit hours

Eligible students can waive the prerequisite bridge courses as a group and proceed directly into upper-level coursework.

Additional Criteria

  • For those who completed prior coursework more than 10 years ago and are new to accounting, bridge courses are required, along with a “C” grade or better for each course.
  • For those who completed prior coursework between 5 and 10 years ago, not currently working in the accounting field, a strategic assessment of competency is required.

The BA in Global Business Management at Regis College’s Sloane School of Business & Communication is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). With the first graduating cohort for our Master of Science in Accounting in 2022, we will begin the process for ACBSP accreditation for our MS in Accounting degree.
