The Regis College Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) prepares graduates to sit for the national Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Examination and the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. Graduation from the MSA program does not guarantee CMA or CPA certification. CMA requires at least two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance to qualify for certification. Each state has educational, experiential, and multiple other requirements that must be met for CPA certification. Regis College has not determined if the MSA program meets the educational requirements for CPA certification in any state. It is highly recommended that students seek guidance from the appropriate certification state agencies regarding CMA and/or CPA certification in states where they plan to practice.
