William Koehler began his career as a professional recruiter, operations manager, founder, and entrepreneur with Marathon Personnel in Boston. He started and managed a successful educational start-up, Pierian Educational Preparation, and brings 25 years of experience in higher education, including as a professor, graduate program director, department chair, and now, dean of the Sloane School of Business and Communication at Regis College.

Before joining Regis, William served as the dean of the School of Management at Bay State College in Boston and assistant dean for graduate and international programs at the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts. Koehler serves on editorial boards, including the Transnational Journal of Business, the Journal of Ethics and Entrepreneurship, and the European Management and Marketing Association. He is also a consultant for small start-up businesses and non-profit organizations in the greater Boston area.
