Karen Cummins is a family nurse practitioner who is certified to manage care across the lifespan.

As the clinical director and an associate professor of nursing at Regis College, she has an extensive background in both clinical practice and teaching experience. She has been an instructor at the associate, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing levels, while her clinical work includes VA medical clinics, infectious disease and HIV management, as well as home health, primary, palliative, and annual care.

Dr. Cummins earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LaRoche College, her MSN in Nursing Education from the University of Pittsburgh, Post-MSN Nurse Practitioner certification from Carlow University, and Ph.D. in Education from Capella University.

She is a member and past chapter president of Sigma Theta Tau International, and a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Her research interests include online interaction, student-preceptor relationships, and role transition.
