Julie Stone, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Julie Stone has been a nurse for 30 years, graduating with a RN Diploma from Aultman College of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron, and a Master of Science in Nursing with the concentration of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track from Kent State University.
Julie’s nursing experience is varied. As an RN, she spent most of the years in acute care, working in OB/GYN, telemetry, and the ED. As a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner she has worked in the community outpatient setting primarily caring for those over the age of 13. She has experience in managing a substance use disorder clinic, juvenile corrections, geriatric management, community mental health, crisis stabilization unit, and private practice. She also has served as an originator and Program Director for a PMHNP program in Ohio where she resides and served as an adjunct faculty member at a couple other universities. Although Julie now is an Assistant Professor-Graduate Nursing Online Faculty in the PMHNP program here at Regis College, she continues to practice as a PMHNP part-time in her own private practice in Ohio and rounds in geriatric facilities.
