Dr. Sharon Higgins, DNP, MSN, FNP, BSN

Dr. Higgins is the Interim Carol A. Donovan Endowed Dean of Nursing and an Assistant Professor. She earned her MS degree and DNP degree at Regis, and has the unique understandings of Regis’ ranked graduate nursing program from the perspective of a student and faculty. The classes Dr. Higgins has taught include Advanced Health Assessment and as a FNP Clinical Faculty.
Additionally, Dr. Higgins is a practicing nurse practitioner serving as a Hospitalist at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, where she has worked for over 20 years in multiple nursing leadership roles. She holds certifications in both orthopedics and wound care and loves to share her professional experiences as both a RN and NP with her students.
Dr. Higgins is also the recipient of several Caring, Access, Rx, and Education (CARE) Initiative grants as well as the 2023 EOHHS Human Service WFO Grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, HCBS Workforce Development Grant Program.
