Program Director of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program (AGACNP)
Anne Hedger, DNP, ACNP-BC, ANP-BC, CPNP-AC, ENP-BC received an AAS from Sinclair College, a BSN from Arizona State University, and an MN from the University of Washington, Seattle where she earned and subsequently became boarded as both an Acute Care Adult Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Nurse Practitioner. In addition, she received a Post-Master’s Certification as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Seton Hall University. In 2009, she completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Anne has worked as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in an Emergency Department (ED) setting for 20 years managing both adults and pediatric patients who are acutely ill or injured, including those with psychiatric conditions. She has ACNP experience as a Pain Management Specialist, as well as in Neurosurgery. She was an ANCC Concept Expert Panel Member for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner certification and a founding member of the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners. She served as a consultant to the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia’s Quality Assurance program in Vancouver, with clinical site visits and quality reviews, as they developed their new nurse practitioner licensure process. She has served as curriculum consultant, in course development and has taught for several nursing programs nationwide. She has experience as the Program Director for a growing Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, as well as Assistant Dean of Distance Education.
Dr. Hedger is currently the Program Director of the online Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with Regis College.
