Regis College Online NP Programs Earn National Recognition for 2025

For the field of nursing, a better future starts with focusing on better education today — and Regis College recently earned national distinction for helping educate tomorrow’s top nursing leaders.
Three of Regis’ Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certificate programs received high recognition from the NP education resource Nurse Practitioner Online, positioning them among the top programs in the U.S. for 2025.
Both the online Pediatric Nurse Practitioner MSN program and the online Post-Master’s NP Certificate program earned top honors, with Nurse Practitioner Online ranking them No. 1 in their respective categories. Regis’ online Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner MSN program was ranked No. 2 among the nation’s degree offerings.
“It’s an outstanding honor for our nursing programs to be recognized as some of the best in the nation,” says Dr. Sharon Higgins, interim dean of nursing for Regis College’s Richard and Sheila Young School of Nursing. “We work every day with talented students and knowledgeable, experienced faculty, and this recognition serves as further confirmation that we continue to succeed in our mission to provide top-level education for tomorrow’s nursing leaders.”
It’s not the first time Regis has been recognized by Nurse Practitioner Online, with recent honors going to the Post-Master’s Certificate Adult Gerontology NP program in 2023.
Nurse Practitioner Online, which bills itself as “a passionate community of Nurse Practitioners and APRN professionals” dedicated to connecting nurses with high-quality education, ranks master’s, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs based on a variety of academic-focused factors like the diversity of programs offered, accreditation status, faculty experience, and competitiveness of the program.
Other factors considered in the ranking methodology include those affecting student outcomes and quality of life for learners, such as the size of the nursing program, tuition and cost of living, and graduation/completion rate.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of Regis College’s faculty, staff, and students, whose efforts make this program one of the nation’s best,” said Nurse Practitioner Online outreach coordinator Judy Daniels in a written statement. “We recognize the dedication required to maintain such high standards and extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and your team on this outstanding achievement.”
The recognition underscores Regis College’s holistic, outcomes-focused approach to nursing education, which has a long history of preparing nurses to be leaders and top practitioners in the field. With an emphasis on preparing for certification and career success, Regis College’s nursing programs consistently outperform the national average in NP exam pass rates.
Regis’ graduate nursing programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), indicating that the degree and certificate offerings exceed a high standard of excellence.
The MSN program has previously been recognized among the top 50 by Master’s Programs Guide, and Regis was designated as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing for 2008-2020.
